I adore a spot of animal print for the kids. I’m not talking leopard or zebra here, I just mean the myriad of animal motifs that grace everything from coats to crockery. It is just the best. The funny thing is I’m not exactly the biggest animal lover in real life but an animal motif or two and I’m sold.

So today I thought I’d bring you my round-up of all things animal for kids. If you are in need of further inspiration then head over to Rock My Style for animal inspired interiors and Rock My Wedding for all kinds of amazing decor inspired by our favourite four legged friends.

Animal Motifs Interiors

I could quite easily fill this whole post with animal inspired interiors. Quite possibly even a whole week of posts. If you saw my home tour over on Rock My Style you will know I have a bit of a thing for animal wallpapers.

Interiors {Sleep}

Coco and Wolf have some amazing Liberty print pieces in their new collection with one that is perfect for this post… Queue for the Zoo. Beautiful animals in a myriad of colours can now adorn your little ones’ beds. And how cute is the Elephant cushion?

We are currently in the process of updating Alice’s room and although I’m still in the layout stages I’ve been eyeing up bedding already. This kitty cat set from M&S is on my wish list as is this sleepy fox set from La Redoute.

For the smaller ones you could snuggle them up at night in the Anorak Kissing Rabbits Grobag.

Interiors {Walls}

I have long coveted an animal head for the girls’ rooms. I don’t mean full on taxidermy but those cute felt type creatures that are just so much fun. I became very inspired after seeing them in this nursery tour we featured. This plush flamingo head may become an essential purchase.

I am a big fan of Ketchup on Everything for the most fun prints. I have the Animal ABC for Alice’s room and she loves it.

I simply love the soft pastel designs from Eef Lillemor, available at This Modern Life, with their super sweet animal faces. The postcards grace many a wall in Molly’s room and I am in love with pretty much everything else in the range.

If you haven’t discovered Made of Sunday’s door stickers, available at Archies Boutique, yet you really must. The most fun simple decor to brighten up a plain door. With a myriad of characters there should be one your little will love.

Some may call it a tad strange but I love this print from John Lewis of a Bunny in a Lions mouth! He is wearing a party hat so it’s all good. Or the mummy and baby elephant from the same range would make a gorgeous new baby gift.

My Ferm Living Owl wallpaper is still one of my favourites. It’s just so much fun. For some more amazing animal wallpaper ideas have a peek at my favourite wallpapers for kids post.

Interiors {Eat}

Bloomingville Mini is my current interiors crush and I have a rather long shopping list accumulating. I’m pretty sure there will be quite a few pieces making their way on to the girls’ Christmas lists. The crockery is my absolute favourite with its quirky designs and pastel colour schemes. Besides who wouldn’t want a juggling badger or a skateboarding rabbit on their dinner plate.

Buddy and Bear is a RMF fave with her super fun plates and cups. The bears and rabbits are definite winners.

Interiors {Accessories}

Mamas and Papas have some really lovely pieces at the moment and their new interiors collection is a gorgeous mix of subtle hues and fun prints. I particularly love this rabbit cushion and the shaggy hedgehog cushion in the softest greys.

One of the things I always coveted for the nursery but never got was the Vitra Eames Elephant. I just love it.

I’m all about the storage and these Play and Go bags from This Modern Life are just perfect for bundling toys away in.

Animal Motifs Clothing

Where do I start? There is so much cuteness around at the moment. I could kit the girls out in pretty much an entire animal inspired wardrobe this Autumn.

Clothing {Bottoms}

I’ll start with Boden mainly as they are killing it with their animal motifs this season. I may also have purchased A LOT of them already. My particular favourite has been the hedgehog print and Alice will be sporting these cute bloomers with a pair of tights this autumn. I am also loving the knitted sets and this cow one is so much fun. The soft jersey sets have always been a winner with babies and I adore this reversible bear print and stripe combo.

You will probably see Tobias and The Bear gracing many an Instagram photo. Their leggings are simply AMAZING. So many fun prints in bold geographical designs. You can even kit out their bed in the same prints for a super stylish kid’s room.

How cute are these little teddy bear bottom leggings from M&S?

John Lewis has always been one of my go to’s for sweet animal prints. Their dungarees and dresses were a wardrobe staple when the girls were smaller. My love of woodland animals continues and I only wish I could still squeeze Alice in to this pair. Oh, and not technically an ACTUAL animal but these unicorn dungarees. That’s all I’m saying.

Next have the most amazing fox dungarees. Love them.

Current Zara faves include these bear leggings or Squirrel version which look super comfy and are a RMF team favourite.

Clothing {Tops}

The John Lewis fox print sweatshirt would be super cosy on an Autumn Day. Oh, and the most amazing Bear print pram suit. You might need it.

My Boden obsession continues with this Squirrel sweatshirt dress from Boden for Alice which is super cosy. Obviously she needs the deer cardigan to complete the woodland look doesn’t she? Molly is now the proud owner of this super sweet Intarsia cardigan which I may have purchased with some lovely yellow cords.

Zara always have great value basics and these animal pocket t-shirts or sweet striped tees will be ideal for layering as the weather gets cooler.

Clothing {Accessories}

Molly adores getting crafty and a little accessory so I’ve been stocking up on these super sweet colour in necklaces from Aboe Designs. The wooden pendants come in the sweetest shapes and at only £3 make the perfect stocking filler or party treat.

Animal hats are a definite winner in the style stakes. M&S have a cute fox number or this soft grey jersey bunny hat from the new Mylene Klass range at Mothercare is the so good.

Do you love an animal motif as much as I do?
