It seems everyone is getting on board with the cosmic theme at the moment. From stars to rockets, the high street is awash with the space inspired pieces after their recent outing on the catwalks. It seems the fascination with the latest Star Wars is also leading the way but rather than going for BB8 or the Millennium Falcon I favour a subtler theme. So it would be rude not to share the space love with you all as we get all twinkly today with our favourite cosmic inspired finds. And if you fancy a piece of the space theme for yourself then head to Rock My Style where there are some epic constellation pieces to be had.
Clothing
First up I am starting with possibly my favourite find, the most adorable constellation coat from Zara. It is just gorgeous with its navy colour way, subtle graphics and cosy lining. To add a splash of colour this star print jersey set is perfect for cosying up on Autumn days. For snuggling up at bedtime these sleepsuits are covered in planets and rockets. Finally I can’t not mention this rocket bag. It is immense.
Fellow Spanish brand Mango has really upped its game with kidswear recently and I am mentally making a long shopping list including this denim shirt and this useful, wear anywhere, navy jacket. Also these leather star boots are AMAZING, as are the sweet star shoes. I wonder if they come in adult sizes…..
Next has gone full pelt with the space trend with some amazing nightwear. This set of three has aliens, planets and rockets for all sorts of nighttime adventures or you could go all out galactic with a comet and meteor shower sleepsuit. They also have the cutest little rocket joggers.
Did you say stars, monochrome and tassels on a dress? I’m sold. Oh, and the girls probably need these twinkly star tights too.
These Clarks trainers are everything you could be looking for in the Constellation theme. Spot on for colour and design they are a great buy.
Boden has always been known for it’s bold star prints and they are winning with their glitter star chelsea boots. The red colour is so bright and fun. Boden also have some gorgeous starry items with padded jackets in a multitude of colours to keep the littles warm and fun trousers for trips to the park. When I spotted this sweet star top in the prettiest blush and gold I sent it straight to Laura who purchase it for her little Bertie.
I am in love with H&M’s baby clothes at the moment and managed to find this sweet star print sweatshirt and constellation sleepsuits. I may have got distracted by all the amazing knitwear though…
John Lewis is your go to for rocket adventures with their fun pyjama sets being a firm favourite with the team. Their space print two packs are available in baby sizes or for bigger kids so everyone can go to sleep dreaming of their next trip to space.
I buy the Joules zip up sweatshirts on repeat for the girls and the starry one has already been tucked away for a forthcoming birthday.
Interiors
The love of space continues in to children’s interiors and we’ve put together a bit of space inspiration courtesy of Pinterest below for you. Think cute constellations on the walls, rocket mobiles and deep moody colours. You could go all out intergalactic or just add some subtle touches such as a sweet moon picture.
First up if you have fallen in love with the bear and moon lamp seen in the header you will be pleased to know that it can be purchased from one of my favourite boutiques, Mini Maison. I may need to make a purchase.
For the walls I am loving the intricate patterns on constellation wallpaper. There is a bargain design for £10 in B&Q because, let’s be honest, we probably can’t really splash out on this stunning version. If you prefer simple stars then John Lewis has a version that comes in a multitude of colours.
Bedding wise there are some super cute designs out there. You could go for subtle stars like this one from Next or a simple grey design from M&S for a very reasonable £15. For something a bit more fun I know my girls would love this glow in the dark bedding set from Matalan and this Dunelm rocket set is super cute too.
For the little ones then this fabulous star and moon muslin blanket from Marshes and Flint would be perfect for a nursery.
For me it’s the accessories where you can add your interstellar elements. Even if the rest of the room isn’t filled with stars and rockets a few little touches can look super sweet. Charlotte recently invested in a Desenio constellation print for Mabel and I have the Moon Man print from This Modern Life in Alice’s room. It seems our girls have an obsession with all the twinkly things in the sky.
You could of course just add a subtle quote such as this sweet basket from H&M. Perfect for stashing everything from nappies to toys.
This rocket light from Next is so much fun. Perfect for a little space cadets room.
I am a little bit in love with this stunning Willa and Bobbin cloud and star mobile at Roses and The Stars. It would be so gorgeous hung above a cot for little ones to gaze at. Alternatively Mamas & Papas have a beautiful moon and star mobile in the sale for a bargain £9.
Finally, this crochet cushion from Zara is perfect for snuggling up or if you want a nod to the space theme but retaining your love of pom poms then this cushion may just be the one for you.
Is anyone else embracing the cosmic theme? As always do share your favourite finds with us.

Best bit about summer being over is the hunt for new winter coats for E. The navy Zara one might have just edged into first place on the shopping list.
Some gorge little finds here Lottie. Roll on payday!x
Karen I am GUTTED that the coat doesn’t fit my girls. I wish they’d stop growing as I only like the mini ranges of clothes in shops at the moment 🙁 xx
Boden do a good girls fleece lined coat. Pricey at £80 but they sell well second hand on eBay so you can recoup. The green is lovely this year.
I need a Boden 40% sale.
I had spied that coat too Rebecca 🙂 I always buy the girls the Boden coats for winter as they are so cosy and last so well. Especially with two little girls who can share. I tend to pick them up when I have a voucher and a discount code but it’s normally only the 20% ones. I’ve also got some in the sales before and kept them. This year Molly has the Puffin print from a few years back which I grabbed in an age 6-7 for a bargain £10!!! It finally fits her!! x
I actually have a feeling last year’s winter coat will fit. Where I’m super happy to see that’s the case with her padded Joules jacket, I reeeeally want her fur lined coat to be too small. Any excuse to pack it away and buy a new one!
RMF & RMS are on form this Monday morning! So much shopping to do now – ha ha! Great recommendations Lottie. Wish they did that Zara coat in adult size 🙂 🙂
🙂 I need to do ALL the shopping!! x
I am loving this starry themed day on Rock My!
Felix has some pretty epic star print knitted leggings from H&M which they don’t have anymore and last winter he had the best coat from gap which had a full on space/NASAesque print on it!
On the hunt for this autumn/winter’s versions. Felix has navy star print curtains from John Lewis which glow in the dark. Took me months to find them (I think I got them in the December after he was born in the September!).
We love a bit of cosmic print here!
Hooray for cosmic prints. Loving the sound of this glow in the dark cushion. My girls are obsessed with glow in the dark. I managed to get some glow in the dark unicorn pyjamas from Zara last year and Molly loved them so much. I need a new version for this year xx
I love the stars! Lots of inspiration here. Now – any ideas where the bed in the bottom right image is from?! It’s exactly what I’m after! Xx
How apt, I have been very drawn to star prints recently and have to say, of all places, ASDA has been really good for little baby things like Muslins and blankets with grey star prints. (I’m 5 months pregnant with my first so only just coming into all these things!)
What a gorgeous idea for a nursery or childrens interior. You can have so much fun with it too. Especially loving the bear with the moon balloon and the little white stars on the black wall.
Its more appealing to a lot of adults as wall decor too than the conventional nursery themes. Space themed prints is definitely something to explore! Great post!
